Slice into this one and you'll find the classic checkerboard: four little squares of pink and yellow sponge, glued together with apricot jam and wrapped up in a blanket of marzipan. Soft, almondy, and properly sweet. I think it's the prettiest thing I make!
This is made fresh for each restock rather than kept in stock. Ordering closes a few days before the bake, and you collect it on the day it comes out of the oven.
