The short version: we bake to order for a weekly restock, you collect and pay in person, and once an order's in, changing it means giving us a ring rather than editing it online. The rest of this page sets that out properly.

Miss Maple (“we”, “us”) is a small bakery trading as Miss Maple, [registered business name and company number], of [registered address]. These terms apply whenever you use this website or place an order through it.
Everything we sell is made to order for a specific restock — we don’t keep stock on a shelf. To place an order you’ll need an account, which we use to keep your orders together and to let you know when one is ready.
Each restock has its own cut-off, shown when you order. Ordering closes at that point so we know what to bake and how much of it; orders placed after the cut-off, or for a day that’s already closed, will be refused.
Quantities shown while you’re ordering are a best estimate, not a reservation — someone else may be ordering the same thing at the same time. If a product sells out between you adding it and you placing the order, we’ll tell you before the order goes through, not after.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any VAT due. Nothing is paid online — payment is taken in person when you collect your order.
We try to keep prices accurate, but if something’s clearly wrong (a typo rather than a genuine price change) we’ll contact you before treating the order as confirmed.
Orders are collected in person on the day of the restock they’re placed against — we don’t deliver. Your confirmation email and your account both carry a reference and a scannable code; either is enough to collect, or you can simply give your name at the counter.
If you can’t make the collection day, please get in touch beforehand where you can. An order that isn’t collected is recorded as such on your account rather than assumed cancelled.
Once an order is placed, it can’t be changed or cancelled through the website — the kitchen has already started planning the bake around it. If something needs to change, call us with your order reference and we’ll do what we can.
We may occasionally need to cancel or amend an order ourselves — for example if a restock can’t go ahead as planned. If that happens we’ll contact you directly rather than leaving you to find out at the counter.
Every product page lists its ingredients and what it may contain. This information is given in good faith and kept up to date as far as we’re able, but everything is made in a kitchen that handles nuts, gluten, dairy, egg and sesame, so we can’t guarantee any product is entirely free of trace allergens.
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please check the product page before ordering and speak to us directly if you have any doubt — particularly for a severe or life-threatening allergy.
You’re responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your password to yourself. Let us know if you think someone else has access to your account.
The site, its design and its content belong to us or our licensors. You’re welcome to use it to browse and order from us; please don’t copy, resell or misuse it.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited or excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, our liability to you is limited to the value of the order in question.
We may update these terms from time to time, for example as ordering itself changes. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when you place it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you have any questions, get in touch at [contact email] or [contact phone number].
